Laurel Waltz

Controller

Laurel is responsible for the financial affairs of The Monahan Company. Laurel joined the Company in October of 2022. Prior to being our controller, she spent 10 years in the public accounting industry as an auditor and working on both corporate and individual income taxes with clients in various industries. Laurel graduated from Oakland University earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Accounting. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Michigan.  

Three young children at home doesn’t leave for much free time, but when she does find time… gardening, camping, and vacationing to their family’s cabin in Northern Michigan are how she likes to relax. Laurel lives in St. Clair Shores, MI with her husband, Christopher, their three children, Luke, Noah, and Carolynn, and their two rescue dogs, Roary and Gracie.
